Getting injured while playing sports is very common. There are few types of injuries that are most common. They are listed as follows.
-Knee injury: ACL tear
-Tennis elbow (Epicondylitis)
-Knee injury: Patellofemoral syndrome
These sports injuries are moderate or mild. Although there is some damage, it is nothing severe. Some injuries can be treated at home with home remedies while some would require medical attention to avoid further severities. If the strain or sprain is intense, then there may be a chance of surgery coming into the picture if an entire tendon, ligament, or muscle is torn away. Below is the list of sports injury treatments for different types of injuries.
With an ankle sprain, it is important for the person to exercise to prevent loss of flexibility and strength.
Groin pull can be treated through compression, rest, and placing an ice bag on the injured area will heal most groin injuries.
Hamstring injuries heal slowly because of the constant stress that is applied to the injured tissue while walking.
Shin Splints are the pains that occur down in the front part of the lower legs. These injuries can be treated with the person taking proper rest, placing ice bags on the painful area, and taking appropriate over-the-counter medicine.
For Knee Injury: ACL, it is best to consult a doctor immediately, and a torn ACL may require surgery.
Patellofemoral pain can take around six weeks to reduce, and the injured person has to be patient about it. Also, they should continue doing low-impact exercises during this period.
