What is gastroenterology?

Gastroenterology is used to know the normal function and diseases of the stomach, esophagus, small intestine, colon and *****, pancreas, bile ducts, gallbladder, and liver. A gastroenterologist needs to have a specific understanding of the normal physiology of all the organs mentioned above as well as motility through the intestines and gastrointestinal field in order to maintain healthy digestion, removal of waste, absorption of nutrients, and metabolic processes.

Gastroenterology Tests and Procedures:

Abdominal angiogram:

An angiogram test was done with imaging test that uses X-rays to examine at your blood vessels. It is done to control the conditions such as stretched, Weak, or enlarged portion of a blood vessel, Blockages, Narrowing of a blood vessel.

Abdominal ultrasound:

It is a noninvasive method used to evaluate the organs and structures within the abdomen. This involves the liver, gallbladder, bile ducts, pancreas, spleen, and abdominal aorta.

Abdominal X-ray:

X-rays use beams of energy that pass through body tissues to capture the particular ***** picture to know the detailed condition. They show images of internal tissues, bones, and organs to see the position of the patient's health.

Gastroenterology journal will provide a platform in today's scientific and medical literature to serve as an international forum for rapid exchange of scientific information between clinicians and scientists worldwide to translate novel "bench to bedside" science into clinical therapies as well as report upon prognostics, novel therapeutic strategies which contribute to the advancement of knowledge in the field of gastroenterology and hepatology.
