There is no set answer to this particular question due to another time-frame plans of the embassies/consulates. However, it is suggested that you apply for a visa throughout six weeks to 60 days earlier to your departure.

Processing a visa can take anywhere from 3 days up to 21 days, depending on a variety of circumstances, so plan ahead and get your visa done in time. Applicants are free to join up to 90 days antecedent to their date of travel. If you are from NewZealand opt New Zealand Tourist Visa.

On most visa requests you will also have to register that you have comfort and flights booked and some form of the itinerary for your trip. The only consulate who does not want this is the USA, who suggests ‘applicants should obtain a visa before purchasing tickets or making certain travel plans.

You need to present a copy of your statement airfare tickets and also a recognition of the location of your accommodation. There are two different methods to prove this depending on your accommodation type:

If you are staying at the home or residence of a friend/family member, they want to give a letter with their address and their ID or Passport number and signature. It can be typewritten or handwritten.
